  5. HELP SCREEN
  6. ============
  7. Move thru this help screen by       *
  8. the UP and DOWN arrow keys. The     *
  9. PAGE UP or PAGE DOWN keys also can  *
  10. be used.  Exit by hitting ESC.      *
  11.  
  12. PSYMED
  13. ======
  14. Keys required to navigate PSYMED    *
  15. are primarily the UP, DOWN          *
  16. arrow keys, and the PAGE UP and     *
  17. PAGE DOWN keys.                     *
  18. Use the UP or DOWN arrow keys to    *
  19. move the shaded bar over the        *
  20. selection desired and press ENTER.  *
  21. PAGE UP or PAGE DOWN keys are used  *
  22. during PSYMED SCAN searches to go   *
  23. to next page of choices.  PAGE      *
  24. DOWN goes forward, PAGE UP goes     *
  25. backward.  ESC exits all functions. *
  26.  
  27. Selections can also be made from    *
  28. the "top" primary menu by using     *
  29. the first letter of the selection.  *
  30. I.e. Brandname search, use "B".     *
  31.  
  32.     ** TYPES OF SEARCHES **
  33.  
  34. There are two types of searches     *
  35. made for a medication.  Specific    *
  36. or General.                         *
  37. With a Specific search, you key     *
  38. in the exact spelling of the        *
  39. medication desired.                 *
  40. With a General search, PSYMED will  *
  41. display a special "scan" screen     *
  42. and allow you to view various       *
  43. medications that fit your           *
  44. particular search category.         *

  46. A search for a drug definition may  ********************
  47.   be made based on the following    *
  48. criteria:

  50. Brand Name - (B) :
  51. ****************

  53. If you know the particular Brand    *
  54. name, i.e. THORAZINE, select entry
  55. "B".  Key in the name and
  56. PSYMED will bring up the drug       *
  57. definition.
  58.  
  59. Generic Name - (G) :
  60. ******************                  *

  62. A generic name search is similar    *
  63. in procedure to a brand name search.*
  64. Key in the Generic name, i.e.
  65. Chlorpromazine for a psymed search. *
  66. You may also key in a partial
  67. spelling of the generic name and
  68. PSYMED will find any "matched"
  69. medications.

  73. Partial Word Search  - (P)

  76. If you only know a few of the       *
  77. letters of a brand name,         *
  78. a partial search will allow         *
  79. you to key in what you know.        *
  80. Psymed will search for a drug match *
  81. and display all occurances found.   *
  82. You may select any "found" drugs    *
  83. for display.                        *

  86. Category - (C)

  89. Use this type of psymed search if   *
  90. you are looking for a particular    *
  91. drug (name unknown) within a        *
  92. defined category - such as          *
  93. antidepressants, antipsychotics,etc.*
  94. Can also be used simply to view     *
  95. various categories of drugs.        *

  98. List All - (L)
  99. ********                            *

  101. This option will list all drugs     *
  102. within the PSYMED database.  You    *
  103. may select any listed drugs for a   *
  104. complete definition.  Drugs  are    *
  105. listed alphabetically.              *

  107.     *** OTHER ***

  109. Manufacturers - (M)
  110. *************

  112. This selection will provide a        *
  113. comprehensive list of the            *
  114. manufacturers of the drugs listed    *
  115. within the PSYMED database. You may  *
  116. view address information on a        *
  117. particular manufacturer or list all  *
  118. medications produced by selected     *
  119. manufacturer.                        *
  120.  
  121. Manufacturer address information may *
  122. be also viewed any time while        *
  123. viewing a particular medication by   *
  124. simply hitting the F1 key.           *

  126. Exit - (E)

  129. Exit PSYMED program and return
  130. to the MSDOS or PCDOS operating      *
  131. system.                              *
  132. ESC will also exit to DOS.           *
